It’s that time of year again: time for all the latest and greatest from our friends in Apple Park (or the Apple Spaceship as locals call it). This week, Apple released iOS 12 and next week Apple will release the latest update for macOS, 10.14 Mojave.
We here at Centrify are excited for the new capabilities, the new look of iOS 12, and the new features and improvements with macOS Mojave. To that point, we have made sure that our customers are able to move forward with day-one Centrify support for both offerings.

We want to empower our customers to confidently embrace the latest technology and devices all while knowing sensitive corporate data is accessed only from devices that are trusted and secure.
New OS Features
This year is especially exciting for those in the Apple ecosystem as the latest devices from Apple have got everyone talking. With the performance updates for iOS 12 we’ll finally see a new iOS that benefits older devices. Rest assured whether you use touch ID on the iPhone 8 or face ID with one of the latest iPhone X models, Centrify’s multi-factor authentication (MFA) solution will work seamlessly, ensuring easy access for end-users and increasing confidence for IT admins that access is limited to intended users.
With the Mojave release for macOS, Apple seems to have been largely focused on functionality and security. MacOS now will make it more difficult for companies to identify your Mac based on its configuration and will block ad trackers on Safari.
Additionally, Mojave will make apps ask for permission to use the Mac’s Camera and Microphone. But that’s not all: dynamic desktop (changes the brightness of wallpaper depending on the time of day), stacks (cleaning up files/icons on your desktop based on file type, date, tags and more), Safari Favicons, starting to port iOS apps to Macs and my favorite – Dark Mode! That’s just a few of the exiting features and there’s much more to discover.
