[R1] Stand-alone Security Patch Available for Tenable Security Center versions 6.5.1 and 6.6.0: SC-202509.1 Jason Schavel
Security Center leverages third-party software to help provide underlying functionality. One of the third-party components (PostgreSQL) was found to contain vulnerabilities, and an updated version has been made available by the provider.
Although the advisory’s highest severity is classified as High, Tenable’s implementation of PostgreSQL within the product reduces this scope.
Out of caution and in line with best practice, Tenable has opted to upgrade this component to address the potential impact of the issues. Security Center Patch SC-202509.1 updates PostgreSQL to version 16.10 to address the identified vulnerabilities.
